The Brief |
To create a new look that will bring a modern feel to an existing house. The family wanted 4 new bedrooms, a main bathroom and an ensuite upstairs, a theatre room/study and general living areas refreshed on the ground floor, with a new kitchen and laundry accessing an entertainers terrace. |

The Result |
All of the above and more! A stairwell was created that offers detail and space while facilitating a completely separate study below. We created window positions that provide fantastic ventilation reducing reliance on air-conditioning therefore saving the family money on electricity bills. By integrating a large external deck with roof covering that can be either open or closed, we gave the family an outdoor area that can be used all year round. The kitchen and laundry facilities were re-positioned to enable clever use of space. |
