What is Home Extensions or Additions?

When a building has an extension or addition it means it is generally extended out, at ground floor level, or extended upwards; that is, adding another level. Some clients do both: extending both up and out.

It may also require a new kitchen, bathroom and/or altering, or moving, internal walls. This is called renovating, in other words, improving something that already exists. Hence the difference in terms: 'renovating' and 'extending'.

6-Step Pre-Build Process

A time to meet

We will come to you and listen to your ideas, family needs, circumstance and offer our thoughts and suggestions that will help create a home that suits your requirements.

Design my Home

Designs are undertaken upon your request; we will use your budget as a tool to design a home extension that suits your requirements and circumstance. A small investment is charged for your customised design.

Presentation

We will call when your design is complete (generally within 2 weeks) and arrange a time to present the proposal in the comfort of your home.

Amendments

We will tailor all aspects of the proposal to meet your approval.

Lodgement and Approval

Once we have your approval, we prepare all architectural drawings and details, submit them to the relevant authorities and obtain the necessary approvals on your behalf in a timely manner. (On average this process takes between 8 to 14 weeks depending on your municipality).

After we have obtained the relevant approvals and completed required documentation we are ready to build; we will work with you to ensure that you are satisfied every step of the way. We have developed, through many years of experience, a construction process that ensures that the client is part of the project and can truly enjoy the experience.
