The Brief
Existing pool house was not functional and had no relation to the pool, the backyard was in need of landscaping and reorganisation. Further, the family wants a cabana that is functional and liveable.
The Result
The Rossmark team designed a space that serves as an entertaining space as well as a small convertible guest house that looks out on the pool.
The guest house is surrounded by new selected hardwood decking that wraps around the existing deck, and the pool, pulling together a consistent designed look. The steps that lead up onto the deck on the ground floor bring together the dwelling and the outdoors as one.
The relocation of the pool facility allows the owners to enjoy an outdoor area for a good Barbeque on a hot summer’s day. The rearrangement of spaces now allows the owners to enjoy their backyard as a whole, whilst providing privacy to their guests, should the cabana be used separately.
