The Brief
To design & build a home extension with a pool that would not dominate the outdoor space but integrate and make the home and yard as one.
The Result
The rear of the existing home was demolished and the home extended with the pool placed on patio edge. The Pool acts as a live water feature in view from the kitchen, dinning and lounge room and is designed not to overpower the rear yard. The exterior renovations include new wall cladding and Colorbond roofing products. Internally the renovations incorporate a new laundry and kitchen, placed neatly together enabling smart use of space and concealing a separate toilet cubical for Guest and kids amenities keeping the main bathroom free for home occupant use. The lime wash floor boards are a great complement to the French Provincial theme and mask the point at which the home extension starts. The home extension and renovations demonstrate true alfresco living.
